The Matthew22 Fund Originally set up in June 2022 as a special fund to raise vital funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust, following the passing of our son Matthew Ben Hollingworth from bone cancer in February of the same year shortly after his 22nd birthday.   We have run various events, sold a range of merchandise and raised over £30,000 for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.  

 In October 2023, we achieved registered charity status with the Charity Commission, registration number 1205101 and will continue to carry on the good work we have started.  We now raise funds and provide grants to our charitable partners.    We currently support:   The Bone Cancer Research Trust   The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust   The Children’s Heart Surgery Fund

 Why Did We Do This?   

Throughout Matthews treatment for two and a half years, he never once gave up hope, he was determined and always positive. We had planned to do some events together as a family and with our close network of friends once his treatment was complete, sadly we never got the chance – but we decided to keep pushing forward and keep his legacy going.   By raising fund for our selected charitable organisations we hope to help other families have a more positive outcome and not have to go through the heartache we suffer on a daily basis.   Thank you for your support, please visit our website or follow us on facebook for further information.
